ATLANTA, Ga. – Head Coach Jim Owen‘s 26th year at the helm of women’s golf was a successful one, with several Petrels stepping up and finding their place in the program.
The fall season began with a 13th-place finish at the MCC Women’s Intercollegiate, and Oglethorpe showed some growing pains throughout the fall. However, the Petrels fought to improve their game and ended the first portion of the season with a sixth of 14 finish at the Chick-fil-A Invitational.
The spring season opened with Oglethorpe hosting the annual Jekyll Island Collegiate Invitational, and the Petrels placed 13th. Despite few events in their spring season, the Petrels continued to show improvement and even claimed third of 11 at the Camp Lejeune Invitational. The season came to an end with a fourth-place finish at the Southern Athletic Association Championships.
