You don’t buy a Jordan 1 Low G because it’s the most technical golf shoe. You buy it for the looks. The surprise is that it’s also a playable golf shoe. Don’t expect as much stability or structure as other NIKE golf shoes but you’ll make a statement wearing this. If you’re walking 36 holes, skip this one, but for a casual round, it’s a good fit.
New Balance 550 Golf
The New Balance 550 is a throwback shoe and probably one of the more basic golf shoes you can buy. Interestingly, that’s what makes it perfect for both on and off-course wear. The New Balance 550 features a retro look and some light traction, making it a good choice for those seeking a clean and basic option for casual rounds. If you are headed out for a morning round in wet turf and plan on hitting some 300-yard drives, you’ll need a different shoe.
Goatlane Contour
The Goatlane Contour is a European luxury sneaker with a little extra flair. It’s made of leather so it has a premium feel and it’s one of the best-looking spikeless golf shoes we’ve seen. If you care about craftsmanship and the overall look, this is a good one to consider. You won’t get tour-level grip but if you need a shoe for the range or a casual afternoon on a dry golf course, it’s worth a look.
adidas Samba Golf
The Samba Golf looks like the shoe you’ve worn since college but it has just enough golf tech to make it playable. If you play mostly in fair weather and like the look of this shoe, you’ll be fine with its stability, comfort and traction. We love it for nine-hole rounds and off-course wear.
adidas Gazelle Golf
If you want a shoe with plenty of color choices for on and off the course, the adidas Gazelle golf shoe is a good fit. It features a suede retro look and it’s hard to tell it’s even a golf shoe. Even with the minimalist look, it features an updated waterproof suede upper and spikeless outsole. You’ll get a mix of function and style with the Gazelle. If you’re looking for a shoe with a high-cushion sole, this isn’t it, but it offers plenty of comfort to be playable and keep your feet dry at the same time.
Final thoughts
