5 Tour Players Who Have The Most To Gain (Or Lose) The Next 2 Weeks

There are many swings throughout the PGA Tour season—the Florida Swing, West Coast Swing, Texas Swing—and this week marks the end of the highly touted “Vacation Swing.”

This week’s Butterfield Bermuda Championship is the penultimate event of the FedEx Fall Season and most (if not all) of the players in the field are fighting for some semblance of status for 2026. Whether that be guaranteed status and a spot in the first two signature events of the year (via the AON Next 10) or fighting to be inside the top 125 and retain conditional status, these next two weeks will shape their futures.

With this in mind, I took a look at the current FedEx Fall Standings to see who stands to gain (or lose) the most between now and next week’s season finale at the RSM Classic in St. Simons Island, Ga.

1. Wyndham Clark

Clark sits at No. 61 in the standings, one spot outside the AON Next 10. A small jump into Nos. 51-60 would guarantee him starts in the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am and The Genesis Invitational.

He missed the cut last week in Cabo and isn’t in the field this week. The field for the RSM isn’t finalized but I assume he tees it up for one last shot. I would say he would be an easy candidate for a sponsor’s exemption but after some well-known incidents at both the PGA Championship and U.S. Open this year, who knows where he would stand.

2. Harry Higgs

Harry has been a fan favorite from the moment we laid eyes on him. Always rocking one less button on his shirt than he maybe should, he is never short on charisma.

However, the last few years haven’t been kind to our boy. After losing his card in 2023, he earned his way back via the Korn Ferry Tour but still hasn’t regained the same form we saw in years previous. He currently sits at No. 129 in the rankings.

Two good weeks could push himself inside the top 125 and gain him conditional status. Two great weeks—maybe even a win—and he could find himself inside the top 100 and lock up a full card. It’s a long shot but I will be rooting for the Big Rig to pull it off.

3. Patrick Rodgers

When I think about journeymen on the PGA Tour, his is the first name that comes to mind. He was an absolute stud in college but has never reached his full potential on Tour.

He quietly had a solid season, making 18 of 29 cuts and notching two top-10 finishes. He is 63rd in the rankings. His card is safe but the AON Next 10 certainly is in reach. For a guy like Rodgers, locking up two starts in signature events with guaranteed money and FedEx Cup points will go a long way for the former phenom.

4. Max McGreevy

Bubble boy Max sits at the magic No. 100 heading into the final stretch. A strong finish will keep him inside the number and guarantee his card.

If he gets leapfrogged, he will still maintain conditional status but that comes with a lot more stress. Not having to worry about which Monday qualifiers he needs to go to will take a lot off his plate.

5. Pierceson Coody

Another guy sitting on the outside of that top 100 list, Coody enters the week at No. 113.

He’ll likely retain conditional status for ‘26 but as I said above, full status makes a world of difference.

Coody is someone I have watched since his days at the University of Texas. The kid is a certified baller. He was ranked first this year in Strokes Gained off the tee, beating out guys named Rory and Scottie (albeit he only had half as many measured rounds). If he can sneak into the top 100 and play a full slate, I can see him being the next “Ben Griffin”—a young player poised for a breakout year.

Who are you going to be watching these next two weeks? Let us know below.
