Above all else, friends, remember that golf is a game.
Games are supposed to be fun.
And you know what? I can’t think of a single reason why putter grips should get in on the action, too. That’s why SuperStroke is getting a well-deserved tip of the ol’ caubeen for its limited edition St. Patrick’s Day “Pot O’ Gold” putter grip.
Yes, you read that right, boys and girls. The company that brought you limited edition putter grips for Halloween, Mardi Gras, the Ryder Cup, as well as a donut-themed Glazed and Confused putter grip is going all out for March 17th. The only thing missing is a pint of Guinness and some corned beef and cabbage.

Seriously? A St. Paddy’s Day putter grip?
Yes, seriously. This is golf’s official Limited-Edition Season, and its when OEMs get to blow off a little whimsy. And folks, there ain’t nuttin’ out there more whimsical than this little hunk of Emerald Isle-inspired green polyurethane.
You have to give SuperStroke some credit for originality here. While the rest of the golfing world is getting ready to zig towards Augusta-themed limited editions, SuperStroke is zagging to St. Paddy’s Day. The bold green “Pot O’ Gold” grip is part of SuperStroke’s Zynergy line of putter grips. It’s available in both the Pistol 2.0 and Tour 2.0 models and is adorned with shamrocks, a leprechaun, a rainbow and the proverbial pot of gold.

The rainbow is more than just decorative, however. It’s part and parcel of Zynergy’s patented SPYNE
technology, which is an embossed ridge along the underside of the grip. It’s engineered for hand position and is designed to make it easier to square the putter face at impact. As a Zynergy grip, the St. Paddy’s Day models also feature SuperStroke’s new Multi-Zone Texturing, placed in what the company is calling “high-sensory areas” of the grip for feedback and comfort.
They also include a No-Taper design to minimize grip pressure and help you keep your hands quiet during the stroke. There’s also a Tech Port, which lets you add a SuperStroke CounterCore counterweight as well as a performance tracking sensor.

Does your putter need a little luck?
Hey, when it comes to golf, everyone could use a little good fortune now and gain (just ask Shane Lowery). Will a green putter grip spackled with leprechauns, shamrocks and a “Pot O’ Gold” make the hole rise up to meet you and keep the wind always at your back? I don’t know about that, but I do know the luck of the Irish can’t possibly hurt when you’re putting. They call it a “green” for a reason.
As for fun? Well, as the song says, in the lilt of Irish laughter, you can hear the angels sing.

The limited edition SuperStroke “Pot O’ Gold” St. Patrick’s Day putter grip is available now on the SuperStroke website. It sells for $39.99.
