unCOMMON: Building a Boston Sports Team will chronicle the conception and development of Boston Common Golf. The series will talk about the successes and setbacks they faced while bringing to life the innovative concept of Boston Common Golf Club. Boston sports fans will be delighted to find familiar local heroes gracing the series like David Ortiz, Brad Faxon, Cam Neely, and many more!

Here is what to expect from unCOMMON

Senior VP, Content Strategy & Creative, NBC Sports Next, Justin Tupper sees unCOMMON as a unique way to follow household-name players as they navigate a new and technologically advanced version of golf. The docuseries will cover the players’ journey right from the beginning to their first TGL game on January 27, 2025.

The five-part series will be available to GolfPass members on its streaming platform operated by NBC Sports Next, as well as on the GolfPass channel on Peacock; via cable on the GOLF Channel; and for New Englanders (excluding Fairfield County, Conn.) on NESN or the NESN 360 streaming app.

About the Players

At Boston Common Golf, Rory McIlroy teams up with Keegan Bradley, Adam Scott, and Hideki Matsuyama. McIlroy, considered by many as the global “ambassador” for golf, has spent substantial time as the World No. 1. Bradley, a New England native, and major champion have seven PGA TOUR wins to his credit. Adam Scott, one of the most recognized figures in golf, has 14 wins on the PGA TOUR. The team also includes Hideki Matsuyama, who made history as the first Japanese male golfer to win a major championship.

TGL (presented by SoFi), the tech-infused league where Boston Common Golf competes, offers fans an electrifying greenside experience at the custom-built SoFi Center. This grand center enables 1,500 fans to witness firsthand the adrenaline-filled TGL matches.
