One of the defining moments came at the par-3 16th, where he poured in a long, curling putt that pushed him clear of the field at exactly the moment pressure was expected to tighten. While several contenders faltered on the closing stretch, Griffin’s round was built on steadiness, dropping just one shot across his final 26 holes of the event.
His iron play was a standout feature of the week. His Mizuno Pro S-3 irons delivered the penetrating flight and consistency that allowed him to go flag-hunting on a course designed to reward good ball striking. This marks the 6th victory this season on the major tours for the Mizuno Pro S-3 irons following Ben’s pervious two victories on the PGA Tour and Marco Penge’s triple-crown on the DP World Tour.
