FRISCO, Tx. – Augusta University’s Bo Blanchard has been named the 2025 Southland Conference Men’s Golf Student-Athlete of the Year, the league office announced Wednesday. Blanchard was also one of five golfers voted to the All-Academic First Team.
Blanchard earns the league’s top academic honor after a historic year on and off the course. He was named the Southland Conference Golfer of the Year and helped lead Augusta to its third consecutive Southland Conference Championship.
The Jaguars advanced through the NCAA Division I Tallahassee Regional to earn a spot in the NCAA National Championship, marking one of the program’s most successful seasons in recent history.
The All-Academic teams are voted on by a head coach, sports information director, and an academic/compliance staff member from each Southland Conference institution. To qualify, student-athletes must hold a cumulative GPA of 3.35 or higher and must have completed at least one full academic year at their current institution. Student-Athlete of the Year nominees must carry a 3.50 GPA or higher and demonstrate exceptional athletic performance over at least two seasons.
