Brandt Snedeker’s Golf Bag Is Not Your Typical Tour Setup

Brandt Snedeker closed with a 5-under 66 to win the ONEflight Myrtle Beach Classic earlier this month. It was his first PGA Tour title in nearly eight years. He’s 45. He’s the sitting U.S. Presidents Cup captain. And his golf bag looks a little more like yours than most other professionals.

What Snedeker is playing

A driver matched to his game

The driver with the most Tour wins in 2026 is the Titleist GT3. It’s a low spin option built for the faster swing speed players. Snedeker is in the GT2 which is the more forgiving, higher-launching option in Titleist’s lineup.

Among the 184 PGA Tour players tracked for average ball speed, Snedeker ranked last at 162.12 mph. The GT2 is engineered to maximize distance and forgiveness at his speed. He averaged 274 yards off the tee at Myrtle Beach and won anyway, finishing 18th in SG: Approach, eighth in SG: Around-the-Green and fourth in SG: Putting. The driver just needs to keep him in play. It does.

The irons that stand out most

The PING i240 is widely regarded as the perfect transition set for the aspiring player, sitting in a middle ground between PING’s G440 and the tour-style Blueprint models. The i240 shifted away from the compact, sleek look of the i230 toward a more prominent cavity-back design with multi-material construction.

Matt Fitzpatrick, one of the best iron players on Tour, carries a PING i240 in the 4-iron slot, essentially borrowing the forgiveness where he needs it most. Snedeker has them from 4-iron through 9-iron.

The shafts reinforce the point. The AeroTech SteelFiber i95cw is a graphite-steel composite enormously popular with better amateurs seeking softer feel and better tempo. You don’t see it on the PGA Tour often but Snedeker has been playing it for years.

Two putters

Snedeker has been going back and forth between the TaylorMade Spider Tour X and the Odyssey White Hot XG Rossie. The Spider Tour X is probably the most popular putter on the PGA Tour this year. It’s a mallet known for its stability and alignment aids. The White Hot XG Rossie has been in his bag for decades. When he closed out Myrtle Beach on Sunday, the Spider Tour X was in the bag.

Final thoughts

Snedeker finished 18-under for his 10th career Tour win. His game has always been built on precision and short game rather than raw power and his equipment reflects that. The forgiveness in the GT2 driver, the i240 irons and the Spider putter are calculated decisions by a veteran who knows exactly what his game needs to compete and win.
