Brennan Announces 2024-25 Women’s Golf Schedule

ATHENS, Ga. — The Georgia women’s golf team is set to compete in five fall and six spring competitions during the 2024-25 season, as announced by head coach Erika Brennan on Thursday. Georgia’s schedule features nine familiar events for the Bulldogs, including returns to eight tournaments from a year ago, while introducing two brand-new additions to the slate in Brennan’s first year at Georgia.

“Our schedule is very strong while still having balance with the implementation of the .500 rule this season,” said Brennan. “We know if you want to be the best you have to compete against the best, so we will have several opportunities this season to see first-hand how our games stack up. The team is having a phenomenal summer, and Coach [Dalton] Stevens and I are looking forward to getting after it this year alongside a great group of young people.”

The Bulldogs will open their season on Sept. 9-10 at the Cougar Classic, hosted by the College of Charleston, for the fourth-straight year. Georgia will then head to Hoover, Ala., for its first-ever appearance at the UAB Hoover Invitational on Sept. 16-17. The Bulldogs will conclude September’s slate at the Northwestern-hosted Windy City Collegiate Classic on Sept. 30-Oct. 1.

Georgia will compete in the state of Illinois for the second-straight week on Oct. 7-8 when it participates in its fourth-consecutive Illini Invitational. The fall schedule will conclude in the Bahamas on Oct. 18-20 as UGA makes its return to the White Sands Invitational for the first time since the 2019-20 season. The tournament will take place at the Ocean Club Golf Course on Paradise Island.

UGA will host the Lady Bulldog Invitational to kick off the spring season on Jan. 25. The event marks the first of two tournaments that Georgia will host in the spring. The Bulldogs will then head to Guadalajara, Mexico, for the Collegiate Invitational at Guadalajara Country Club on Jan. 31-Feb. 1, followed by the San Diego State Classic on Feb. 10-11. Georgia competed in the Collegiate Invitational and the SDSU Classic for the first time in 2023 and will be participating in both tournaments for the third time in three seasons.

The Red and Black kicks off the second half of the spring schedule at the Darius Rucker Intercollegiate at Hilton Head Island, S.C., on March 3-5. UGA will be making its 12th-straight appearance at the tournament, which has become a staple on the schedule. The Bulldogs will conclude March by making their first appearance in team history at the Chattanooga Classic on March 28-30. Georgia will host the Liz Murphey Collegiate Classic to conclude the regular season on April 8-9 as the Bulldogs complete their final preparations for the following week’s SEC Championships.

The SEC Championships will be held at the Pelican Golf Club in Belleair, Fla., for the second-straight season, with the tournament taking place on April 14-18. The NCAA Regionals are set to take place in Charlottesville, Va. (Virginia), Columbus, Ohio (Ohio State), Gold Canyon, Ariz. (Arizona State), Lexington, Ky. (Kentucky), Lubbock, Texas (Texas Tech), and Norman, Okla. (Oklahoma) on May 5-7. The NCAA Championships will be contested at the Omni La Costa Resort & Spa in Carlsbad, Calif., for the second time in as many years, with competition running from May 16-21.

The Bulldogs will look to make their fourth trip to the NCAA Championships in five seasons as they embark on the 2024-25 campaign. Georgia competed in three-straight NCAA Championships from 2021-23, highlighted by a match-play appearance and a share of fifth place in 2022. The Bulldogs boast 25 NCAA Championship appearances in team history, including a national title in 2001.
