South Africa’s Ashleigh Buhai was two shots behind Australia’s Hannah Green at the BMW Ladies Championship on Friday when the second round was suspended because of rain.
Green began the day tied for the lead with Buhai and South Korea’s Jenny Shin, but she moved out in front after finishing nine holes at four under for an overall score of 12 under.
Olympic champion Lydia Ko was four strokes behind Green when play was halted just after 1pm at Seowon Valley Country Club.
Ko was joined on eight under by Shin, South Korean Choi Hye-jin and Denmark’s Nanna Koerstz Madsen.
Australia’s defending champion Minjee Lee was on four under overall after finishing 13 holes at one over.
The second round of the no-cut event is set to resume at 8am on Saturday, with round three scheduled to begin later in the morning.
