Bulldogs Sign Stellar Transfers El Chaib, Falcher

ATHENS, Ga. — The Georgia women’s golf team has signed a pair of standout transfers – Chantal El Chaib and Emma Falcher – to join the Bulldogs’ roster for the 2024-25 season, head coach Erika Brennan announced on Thursday.

El Chaib (pronounced SHON-tall el CHI-EEB) is a graduate transfer from Sacred Heart University in the Northeast Conference (NEC) who has one season of eligibility remaining. A native of  Abu Dhabi, UAE, she was voted the 2022 NEC Rookie of the Year and 2023 NEC Player of the Year, as well as being a three-time first team All-NEC honoree. El Chaib led SHU to three consecutive NEC Championships, with individual finishes of sixth, first and second in 2022, 2023 and 2024, respectively. The Pioneers also earned NCAA Regional bids each of the past three seasons. During her career at Sacred Heart, El Chaib recorded eight individual victories and 23 top-10 finishes in 34 tournaments with the Pioneers.

“Chantal executes at a high level in all facets of her life and especially on the golf course,” Brennan said. “Her leadership will be deeply valued on this team as she brings a wealth of experience to the lineup. She’s one who will turn heads with her unrelenting work ethic and creativity around the greens.”

Falcher (prounounced Fal-chur…like “fallacy”) is a rising sophomore from Fousenant, France, who enjoyed a stellar freshman season at USF in 2023-24. She was in the Bulls’ lineup for all 11 tournaments, compiling a 73.81 average with 10 par-or-better scores over 33 rounds. She recorded a trio of top-10 individual efforts, finishing seventh at both the Glass City Invitational and Hurricane Invitational and ninth at the AAC Championships. Falcher’s season stroke average ranks No. 13 among USF’s all-time leaders. She also posted the fourth-best 18-hole relation-to-par score in school history – a 6-under 66 in the second round of the Glass City Invitational.

“One of the best qualities about Falchy is how she thinks critically about her game and how intentional she is with her practice,” Brennan said. “She is a tremendous talent, and her best golf is still in front of her. There is no ceiling to how high she can perform and now that she’s had a year of experience under her belt, she’s primed for great things.”
