Cary Brown, PGA, Joins National PGA of America Board as District-13 Director

Atlanta, Ga – Cary Brown, PGA, a dedicated and accomplished PGA Professional, will officially step into his new national role as District 13 Director, joining the PGA of America Board of Directors with a deep resume of service, leadership, and distinction in the game he loves. District 13 of the PGA of America is the largest district, comprising the Georgia, North Florida and South Florida Sections.

Since becoming a Class A PGA Member in July 2011, Brown has built a career defined by excellence both on and off the golf course. He currently serves as General Manager & Director of Golf at Valdosta Country Club, where he combines operational leadership, strategic vision, and member engagement to elevate the club’s overall experience.

Throughout his career, Brown has been an active and passionate contributor to the Georgia PGA and its Chapters. He has held leadership roles at nearly every level, from Central Chapter President and Tournament Chairman to Section Board service as Secretary, Vice President, and President.

His peers have recognized him with numerous honors, including:
• Central Chapter Teacher of the Year
• Central Chapter Assistant of the Year
• Central Chapter Professional of the Year
• Georgia Section Merchandiser of the Year
• And most notably, Georgia PGA Professional of the Year in 2019 — a highlight of his career and a testament to his service and dedication to fellow professionals.

Outside of his professional roles, Cary finds balance through his creative passions, including music, painting, and drawing, and cherishes time with his wife, Farrar, and daughter, Ada.
