The 2025 Champions Tour has showcased some of the most consistent and impressive performances in senior professional golf.
Season after season, a select group of players dominates the leaderboard, combining experience with precision to capture top earnings.
From thrilling finishes to commanding victories, these high achievers have set themselves apart through skill, strategy, and resilience.
Tracking the season’s top earners offers a fascinating look at who is excelling on this competitive circuit, where PGA Tour veterans over the age of 50 still fight it out for glory.
Let’s take a look at which Champions Tour legends have dominated 2025 with the most prize money.
The Champions Tour’s highest prize money earners 2025:
1. Miguel Angel Jimenez – $2,871,638
The Spaniard isn’t quite at Scottie Scheffler’s level, but four wins from 18 Champions Tour starts are hugely impressive. Jimenez banked over a third of that in June thanks to wins at the Kaulig Companies Championship ($525,000) and Principal Charity Classic ($300,000), along with third at the U.S. Senior Championship ($256,867). He ranks 1st for putting which is always going to help.
2. Stewart Cink – $1,991,382
The 2009 Open champion only has one win this season, April’s Insperity Invitational ($450,000), but he’s climbed to No.2 on the list due to his relentless consistency. Cink has finished runner-up on his last two starts and has eight top-six finishes overall in 2025. In 13 tournaments, he’s made the top 15 in 12 of them.
3. Steven Alker – $1,937,430
The 54-year-old Kiwi has had a modest career compared to some of the household names on this list, but he’s come alive since turning 50, winning the Champions Tour money list in both 2022 and 2024.
He’s had 14 top 25s in his 15 starts this year, the highlight being an early-season win at the Cologuard Classic in March. Alker has also twice been runner-up..
4. Padraig Harrington – $1,828,426
Harrington won three majors in quick succession on his PGA Tour day, and now he has three as a senior.
Two have come in a hot spell this summer as he captured the U.S. Senior Open Championship at Broadmoor and the ISPS Handa Open at Sunningdale. The Irishman also finished runner-up at the Senior PGA Championship. He’s almost reached the $2m mark from just 11 starts.
5. Angel Cabrera – $1,600,092
Cabrera, the 2007 US Open and 2009 Masters winner, has had some turbulent times since and served 30 months in prison between 2021 and 2023. He’s since got his life and golfing career back on track and enjoyed a remarkable seven days in May when winning back-to-back majors: the Regions Tradition and Senior PGA Championship. He’s a three-time winner at this level this year.
6. Ernie Els – $1,568,043
The South African legend kicked off the season by winning January’s Mitsubishi Electric Championship at Hualalai, but that remains his only victory so far this year.
Els won three times at this level in 2024, capturing his first seniors major, and has bumped up his 2025 earnings with a further six top-five finishes.
7. Steve Allan – $1,412,040
The 51-year-old Aussie is the other player in this list, far less heralded than the icons around him. Allan managed just one DP World Tour win (1998) in his career, but he’s chalked up three victories on the Seniors Tour this season, and that includes two in his last three starts: the Dick’s Open and Boeing Classic.
8. Thomas Bjorn – $1,348,749
Bjorn is one of three European Ryder Cup captains in the top 10 earners on this year’s Champions Tour.
The Dane, who won 15 times on the DP World Tour, bagged his first Champions Tour victory when landing June’s American Family Insurance Championship pairs event alongside Darren Clarke. He’s also had two second places in majors: the Senior PGA Championship and the ISPS Handa Senior Open.
9. Darren Clarke – $1,032,957
Clarke, the 2011 Open winner, teamed up with Bjorn to win the American Family Insurance Championship by four shots to pocket $300,000. He’s added a couple of third places and only finished outside the top 25 three times in 16 starts.
These top nine players have all banked over $1million this season. But how about those just below that landmark figure?
Highest earners on the Champions Tour – 10 to 15:
10. Jason Caron $959,086
11. Retief Goosen $950,072
12. Richard Green $940,541
13. Y.E. Yang $894,871
14. Alex Cejka $882,160
15. Cameron Percy $824,999
