Cole Haan Just Gave Women Golfers Another Apparel Option

Cole Haan officially enters the women’s golf apparel space today with the launch of its first women’s golf collection.

The move follows the brand’s men’s golf apparel launch earlier this year and expands a golf business that started with footwear. The new women’s collection ranges from $98 to $218 and is built around Cole Haan’s “course to everywhere” idea: golf clothes that don’t necessarily look like they belong only on a golf course.

So far, I like the direction.

The $99 Topspin Polo is probably the easiest place to see what Cole Haan is going for. It’s made from a recycled polyester and elastane blend with four-way stretch, breathable construction and reinforced seams. There are some more traditional options like Optic White but also a Foxglove pink and Navy Blazer floral print that give the collection a little more personality.

Other highlights include the $98 Spin Sleeveless Polo, $128 Grand Ambition Skort and $218 Transit Windbreaker. The skort has built-in shorts, a stretch waistband and moisture-management technology while the windbreaker is lightweight and weather-resistant.

From the first look, the collection feels clean, modern and pretty easy to wear. Nothing seems overly golf-specific which is clearly the point.

Of course, looking good in photos and performing on the golf course are two different things. I have some product on its way to me so once I get some time with the pieces, I’ll update this article with more on the fit, fabric and how the everything performs on the course.

The Cole Haan women’s golf collection is available beginning today at Cole Haan.
