John Doyle cruised to a five-shot win at the Boylesports Lee Valley Scratch Cup.

The Junior Ruder Cup star closed with a three under 69 to hold off Fota Island clubman David Howard on 13-under.

Scores

East of Ireland champion Howard shot 72 to finish on eight under with Jordan Boles third on four under after a closing 69.

Rosslare’s Mark Shanahan was fourth and Cork’s Jonathon O’Sullivan fifth.

David Reddan claimed sixth on two under after a best-of-the-day 67.

The low Lee Valley member was Ben Murray on level-par, while another home player, Mark Behan, won the Nett.
