Fireballs GC star on LIV Golf: “We don’t really know what’s going to happen”

Fireballs GC player Jose Luis Ballester appears to be preparing for life after LIV Golf with his latest commitments to the DP World Tour.

This is not a good look for LIV Golf. When pressed for his reasons why he’s teeing it up so much on another tour, the Spaniard gave the most honest answer he could.

“We don’t really know what’s going to happen with LIV,” he explained to Bunkered.

“I mean, I believe it’s going to stay around. But even before these rumours came out, my idea was still to get the dual membership and play on DP as much as I could.”

Ballester is making start number five in Germany this week at the BMW International Open, again on an invite. Moving forward, though, he has revealed his intentions to join the DP World Tour full-time next season.

“I’m working on that,” Ballester said.

He won the 2024 US Amateur and finished third in the PGA Tour U Rankings in 2025. He opted against the Korn Ferry Tour and instead joined Sergio Garcia at LIV Golf.
