On the week that Mizuno’s most adjustable driver the ST-G becomes available – the big hitters of YouTube were out in force to give their opinions.
The perspective of the fitters at TXG Official in Toronto, Canada is often the most anticipated amongst serious players – and the ST-G 220 didn’t disappoint. The TXG team pointed to the range of adjustability – but also liked that the profile was similar to the standard ST-Z. TXG Fitter – Ian Fraser fights a right to left flight and was impressed how easily that could be neutralised by moving the weights into a fade configuration. The fastest ball speeds came with the weights in their most forward position. Yet sound was consistent in every position.
I don’t think it sounds any different to the standard ST-G model. They’ve done a good job of keeping this one in the same sound neighbourhood.
