First team event on the G4D Tour to take place at The Belfry

By Phil Casey

The first team event on the G4D (Golf for the Disabled) Tour will take place at The Belfry from August 26-27.

The G4D Tour Nations Cup @ Betfred British Masters will see six nations compete in a mixed team event, with two players from England, Canada, Germany, Ireland, the Netherlands and the USA representing their countries.

Day one will feature three groups of fourballs before the format switches to foursomes on day two.

Alec Scott, sustainability project manager at the DP World Tour, said: “With one in six people globally having some form of disability, we are continuously looking for new and innovative ways to grow Golf for the Disabled and launching a new team event further enhances the opportunities provided to golfers with a disability.”
