Frederik Kjettrup – once a Cleek GC member – but now barely remembered returned to the winner’s circle.
Kjettrup was signed by Martin Kaymer but since his relegation from LIV Golf has barely been heard of.
Now he’s won again after claiming the English Trophy on Sunday.
Kjettrup secured his maiden HotelPlanner Tour win at The Caversham after a 67 in the final round including a birdie on the last hole.
“I don’t think it’s quite settled in yet,” he said in the immediate aftermath of his win.
“It was a weird finish, making a 30-foot slider downhill to win it by one on the last hole but it feels amazing.”
He moved up some 400 spots in the lates Official World Golf Ranking to 410th following his win in England.
