Scottie Scheffler’s season-long dominance on the PGA Tour in 2025 has paid off – we’ve been here before!
The world number one has added to his latest lucrative campaign by claiming the top spot in the 2025 Comcast Business Tour Top 10 and cashing in a healthy $8million bonus.
And the fact that it doesn’t come as a surprise anymore is a testament to his consistent greatness over the past few years.
The huge bonus marks the American’s third finish at the summit of the regular season rankings in the past four years, cementing his place as arguably the most lethal since Tiger Woods.
The Comcast Business Tour Top 10 awards a share of their $20million bonus pot to the top ten players in the FedEx Cup standings after the final stop of the PGA Tour regular season, the Wyndham Championship.
A change from the previous year means a wedge of the $100million post-season bonus point is distributed earlier to add greater weight to the end-of-regular-season rankings.
Scottie Scheffler has been truly dominant in 2025
Despite a slow start to the PGA Tour season, with his first win coming five months into 2025 at the CJ Cup Byron Nelson in May, Scheffler has found four wins this year and has been unplayable at times.
He’s collected two more Major titles at The PGA Championship and The Open, taking his total tally to four, and now heads into the FedEx Cup Playoffs with $19.2million in on-course prize money earnings this season.
Rory McIlroy’s successful 2025 season and return to major-winning form with a career Grand Slam Masters title at Augusta National still left the world number two well behind the runaway leader in the regular season.
The Northern Irishman claimed $6million from the Comcast Top 10 and a further $4million bonus from the FedEx pot in what has been his most successful season in years.
But it’s Scheffler’s unrelenting consistency that makes him the best.
The Texan missed the first few events of the year due to a freak hand injury, with many contemplating whether he’d return to form.
Since his return, he’s finished inside the top 25 in all 16 starts with 11 straight top 10 finishes as we move into the FedEx Cup Playoffs.
PGA Tour winners close out the top 10… and Tommy Fleetwood
Behind Scheffler and McIlroy: Sepp Straka, Russell Henley and Justin Thomas close out the top five with a mixture of rising dominance and reemerging class.
Ben Griffin, Harris English, J.J. Spaun, Tommy Fleetwood, and Keegan Bradley close out the Comcast Business Tour top ten with varying success in 2025.
For Spaun, a battling maiden U.S. Open Major win at the imperious Oakmont Country Club was more than he could’ve asked for at the start of the season.
USA Ryder Cup Captain, Bradley, had a thrilling return to form, with many arguing he’s done enough to be a rare playing-captain at Bethpage Black.
And for Fleetwood, this season was another clinical year, but there’s still a weight on the Englishman’s shoulders.
Despite finishing ninth, he has still never won a PGA Tour event.
Let’s hope the final hole defeat to Bradley at the Travelers Championship won’t haunt him past next season.
FedEx Cup Playoffs await
The FedEx Cup Playoffs now take centre stage with three events culminating in the Tour Championship at East Lake.
Instead of the staggered start of recent years, all 30 qualifiers will start at even par in 2025 as they fight for the season’s richest prize.
There’s over $57million still up for grabs, including $4 million at the Tour Championship alone.
If Scheffler’s dominance continues, he could well pass $170million in PGA Tour earnings before he turns 30.
