Gene Siller’s Legacy Lives On With 5th Annual Red Pants Tournament!

MARIETTA, Ga. – PGA REACH Georgia is excited to announce the 2o25 Gene Siller Red Pants Tournament is set for Monday, September 15th at Atlanta Country Club (500 Atlanta Country Club Dr, Marietta, GA 30067). This unique memorial event is an opportunity for the community to make a positive impact on junior golfers across the state by raising money for the Gene Siller Memorial Grant.

The Gene Siller Memorial Grant, or “Red Pants Grant”, was created in 2021 to honor the late PGA Professional, Gene Siller, who was tragically shot and killed at Pinetree Country Club. The Grant provides financial assistance to youth across the state of Georgia looking to learn, play, and compete in junior golf initiatives. Since its inception, the Gene Siller Memorial Grant has awarded $104,000+ to more than 40 recipients.

The annual Gene Siller Red Pants Tournament pro-am fundraiser includes an auction, reception, and awards ceremony for roughly 120 players and countless guests. “This event is about more than just golf—it’s about honoring a life lived with passion and a vibrant spirit,” said Georgia PGA CEO & Executive Director, Scott Geary. “We’re honored that the Siller family has welcomed us to be part of it, bringing people together in both remembrance and celebration of one of our own.”

The success of the Red Pants Tournament relies on the generous support of individuals and businesses. Those interested in aligning with PGA REACH Georgia’s Gene Siller Memorial Grant are invited to register to play, bid on an auction item, or donate here:https://RedPants.givesmart.com
