FORT WORTH, Tx. – The Georgia men’s golf team ended the tournament in 15th place at the Ben Hogan Collegiate Invitational presented by Charles Schwab on Tuesday at the Colonial Golf Course.
FAST FACTS:

The Bulldogs ended the tournament shooting a collective 30-over par.

Freshman JD Culbreth shot 1-over in round three, his best round of the tournament.

Junior Grayson Wood stayed consistent in rounds 2 and 3, shooting just 2-over par in both rounds.

James Earle climbed six spots on the leaderboard and scored the highest for the Bulldogs. Earle finished the day tied for 13th with two-over par.

North Carolina, Vanderbilt, Virginia, and Texas tied for first place with a collective 10-over, while Pepperdine, Alabama, Georgia Tech, Auburn, Texas Tech and Oklahoma made up the rest of the top ten.

“We hit some adversity to start the week, having to make a last minute lineup change, and dug ourselves in to a hole we unfortunately couldn’t get out of. I’m proud of the way we showed resilience and played well in the second and third rounds. This is a great event that we were happy to be a part of.”
Next, the Bulldogs travel to East Hampton to compete in the Hamptons Intercollegiate Tournament Oct. 6-7.
