Golf Ireland and AIG Ireland today officially launched this year’s AIG Men’s and Women’s Cups and Shields and AIG Men’s, Women’s and Girls’ Irish Amateur Close Championships at Stackstown in Dublin.
On hand to help the launch were reigning AIG Women’s Irish Amateur Close Champion Anna Dawson (Tramore) and leading golf analyst Dylan Beirne (Carrick-on-Shannon).
In addition to the launch of the Golf Ireland competitions, AIG provides a range of tailored insurance solutions for Golf Ireland clubs and members.
AIG has also proudly supported the Women in Sport Scramble which has been a phenomenal success since its inception in 2022. The most recent edition saw over 70 players take to the South Course at the K Club for another successful event which brings sportswomen together from across Ireland.

<p>Golf Ireland’s AIG events launch</p>
This year’s AIG Men’s and Women’s Cups and Shields are set to get underway in May with the finals in Shandon Park (26-29 August), Millicent (3-4 September), Ennis (18-19 September) and Thurles (19-20 September).
This year’s AIG Irish Women’s & Girls’ Amateur Close Championships will take place in Enniscrone from 28-31, July followed by the AIG Irish Men’s Amateur Close Championship, which tees up in Portumna from 13-15 August.
