Is Noah Kahan the best singer to play golf?
Definitely not (not yet at least), but he’s a damn good songwriter with the perfect personality for the game of golf. His authentic and raw storytelling fits right in with the ups and downs that golf offers on a daily basis.
Kahan mentions golf on the track “Paid Time Off” on his new album “The Great Divide” and it feels right to highlight his involvement in the game of golf and his brief but far-reaching history with YouTube Golf up to this point.
Kahan and YouTube Golf

Kahan has been featured on several YouTube channels, highlighted primarily by time spent with GM Golf and Good Good.
Within the first three minutes of GM Golf’s 18 hole video with Noah, you realize how naturally funny and authentic this guy really is. I could tell after his shooting a “solid 90 from the whites with a couple of lies” line that he would be fun to golf with.
The three major YouTube Golf releases featuring Kahan have racked up roughly a combined 3,170,000 views and counting.
These aren’t rookie numbers; these are top tier for YouTube Golf. It even brought additional viewers that were there for Kahan and not GM Golf (think ladies watching more of the NFL because of Taylor Swift). The game is growing and these types of collaborations make it grow the right way.
TGL involvement

In January of 2025, TGL announced Kahan an investor in the Boston Common Golf team.
Noah is from Vermont so he’s certainly familiar with Boston sports teams. He’s a devout Red Sox fan and has showed support for the Boston Celtics as well.
In November 2025, Kahan, Niall Horan and Good Good teed it up for a TGL-style showdown with Kahan having Brad Dalke and Garrett Clark as teammates and Horan’s team featuring Matt Scharff and Walsh.
It doesn’t take a genius to realize that TGL, the PGA Tour and other golf outlets are hoping to grow the game of golf with Kahan and other celebrities as a pivotal part of the engine.
Music to golf to

Music on the golf course isn’t for everyone. In fact, I avoid it most of the time because I want every bit of focus on my round. Golf is already hard enough and music tends to distract me.
Last week, I decided to mix things up so, instead of caring about my score, I put in my AirPods, turned Kahan’s new album up to almost full-blast and listened from start to finish twice during my nine-hole round.
Not to get too sappy but I felt every bit of sunshine, admired every tree, laughed at every missed putt and enjoyed golf in a way that I normally can’t. Kahan makes relatable music for everyone going through something at present and especially for those who have gone through something major in the past. It was refreshing to enjoy the well-delivered lyrics and play a round of stress-free golf.
Do yourself, and your game, a favor. Become familiar with Noah Kahan, musician and golfer.
If you’re a Noah Kahan virgin, I’d start with Stick Season, The Great Divide or his NPR Music-Tiny Desk Concert.
