Good Good has been all over the news lately.
You may heard they are sponsoring a PGA Tour event and resuscitating “The Big Break” Golf Channel show that was a cult classic back in the day.
Now they are making headlines again as Good Good launched a women’s golf channel this week.
The channel’s first video—a match between Good Good Girls and their boy counterparts—hit a solid 400,000 views in the first 24 hours. As of this writing, Good Good Girls already has 90,000 subscribers.
The 70-minute match was a 4v4 scramble with plenty of fireworks. I won’t spoil the results, but you can be rest assured that the girls can play. These are former college/pro golfers who have game.
Who are the Good Good Girls?
There are four women who make up the Good Good Girls group:
- Marissa Wenzler, of Dayton, Ohio, finished up her collegiate golf career at the University of Kentucky in 2024. She has been heavily involved in YouTube golf, including Good Good, over the last couple of years and has more than 100,000 followers on Instagram.
- Yoonhee Kim, of San Ramon, Calif., is arguably the best golfer of the group. She played at UC-Davis, graduating in 2020. She has been playing professionally on the Epson Tour and Annika Women’s All-Pro Tour.
- Hadley Walts, of Evansville, Ind., appeared in the TV show “Dance Moms” back in 2013. She played collegiate golf at the University of Tennessee, graduating in 2022.
- Alexis Miestowski, of Schererville, Ind., played collegiately at the University of Indiana, graduating in 2022. She has been playing on the Epson Tour and has been getting more involved in YouTube golf the past year. She has more than 100,000 Instagram followers.
Wenzler and Miestowski have both been fixtures of the Golf Girl Games channel that started in February 2024. That channel has 272,000 subscribers and has been moderately successful, though Good Good Girls should now have the branding and resources to exceed that easily.
This first Good Good Girls video is performing better than any of the 200+ Golf Girl Games videos.
Why this group has a lot of potential
Love them or hate them, Good Good is a force to be reckoned with in the YouTube golf space.
They are at almost exactly two million subscribers and have posted nearly 700 videos. They are content machines, and the business has diversified well beyond content.
Good Good Girls gets the benefit of all the Good Good reach. There is already a built-in audience, as evidenced by the first video performing well.
We’ve yet to see a truly successful women-led group on YouTube golf. There are individual influencers like Paige Spiranac and Gabby Golf Girl, but most of the women’s golf presence on YouTube has been in cameos.
There is definitely a gap in the market for a group of great women’s golfers to make content in an ensemble format, so I would be pretty surprised if this doesn’t pop off in a big way.
Will they ever reach the heights of the Good Good boys, Bob Does Sports or other ensemble golf content makers? That would be a high bar to clear.
But I think the timing is right for them to firmly establish a niche that hasn’t been explored much.
