For the first time, fans will get exclusive, behind-the-scenes access to Stinger GC – the all-South African team competing in the global LIV Golf League – in a five-part documentary titled Greens & Gold.
It’s a story of South African grit, legacy and world-class golf, told like never before.
Premiering on SuperSport on Sunday, 14 December at 5pm, Greens & Gold is brought to you by T&W, the makers of the Emmy-nominated Chasing the Sun.
This isn’t just another sports documentary; it’s a raw and unprecedented look into the heart of a team that exudes true chemistry, pride, and purpose.
Follow Louis Oosthuizen, Branden Grace, Charl Schwartzel and Dean Burmester through the 2025 LIV Golf season – from the driving range to the locker room, team chats to biltong runs in Adelaide. Every real, raw, proudly South African moment captured with humour, honesty and heart.
This is more than a documentary. It’s a lekker South African sports story, told the way only we can.
“Greens & Gold is another milestone in SuperSport’s storytelling journey, in partnership with renowned production house, T+W,” said Rendani Ramovha, CANAL+ Africa director: content, sport (English & Portuguese).
“We are proud to take golf fans and the new generation that LIV Golf has unearthed behind the scenes of a golf tournament like no other, a team like no other and on a sports broadcaster like no other: SuperSport.
“We have made Your World of Champions your home for the best sports storytelling, and we are confident that fans will be enamoured with our latest offering. It makes you feel a part of the Stinger GC Squad and opens the viewers’ eyes to the magical world of LIV Golf,”
Why fans should watch
“This isn’t your typical golf story. You get to see what really goes on behind the scenes – the pressure, the laughs, the team talks. It’s raw and real. Being part of a team brings a different edge to the game, and I think fans will love getting that inside look.” – Louis Oosthuizen, Stinger GC captain
LIV Golf: A whole new way to play
Traditionally, golf is one of the loneliest sports in the world – it’s just you, your caddie, and the course. But in the team format of LIV Golf, these four South African players get to do it together.
Greens & Gold offers a rare look into how Stinger GC prepares, competes, and celebrates as a unit. You’ll see glances up to the team scoreboard, on-course chats about tactics, and shared emotions in real time. Moments of camaraderie that highlight what it means to represent more than just yourself.
Golf has always been rich in tradition – and LIV Golf adds an exciting new layer to that legacy, with South Africa at the heart of the action.
Beyond the course
As part of the LIV Golf League, Stinger GC shares in the broader mission to take golf to new heights of excitement and engagement, attracting a fresh generation of fans. In 2025 alone:
● 30% of fans experienced their first-ever pro golf event
● Nearly 50% were under 45
● 25% attended with children under 12
● Female attendance is growing fastest in markets like Korea and Australia
But LIV Golf is more than just an event. It’s making a difference where it matters – reaching 250,000 lives across nine countries this season, from introducing kids to golf to partnering with the UN Refugee Agency.
LIV events now generate over $40-million in economic impact per host city, with more than $1-billion globally since launch.
A South African first
One of Stinger GC’s original missions? To bring LIV Golf home.
In March 2026, that vision becomes a reality. Thanks to their relentless commitment and passion for their country, South Africa will host its first-ever LIV Golf event at Steyn City in Johannesburg.
Greens & Gold shows how they made it happen, and why it matters.
