ATLANTA, Ga. – The Southern Athletic Association has named Oglethorpe sophomore Jackson Hiller the men’s golf athlete of the week for the second time this season.
Earlier this week, Hiller medaled and led the No. 4 Stormy Petrels to another win in the West Pines Collegiate Invitational. He shot 72-70-66, which included a bogey-free round on the second day, and was named to the all-tournament team. Hiller has now finished in the top 15 for all four events of the season, two of those being in national fields and two of those being in the top five.
This was Hiller’s second weekly award of the season, and second of his career so far.
The Stormy Petrels will play their final match of the fall season on October 13-15 at the Golfweek Invitational. Hiller and the Petrels will kick off the spring season at the Savannah Invitational in early March.
