Hollick banks R8.2 million from first win

South Africa’s Michael Hollick chose a great event to break through at with the winner’s cheque worth a whopping R8.2 million.

The 39-year-old eagled the last to beat Hennie du Plessis by a single stroke.

Hollick leaves Germany with a first win, a spot in the Scottish Open and R8 270 852.

“I gave myself an opportunity playing the last, that’s all I wanted to do.

“I stuck to my guns today, didn’t get ahead of myself and if I started to think too far ahead, I brought myself back down to earth. Very chuffed.”

Du Plessis leaves with a spot at The Open and R5 351 728 for his efforts.
