The DP World Tour have laid down the law … pick either LIV Golf 2.0 or us … with a new firm stance being set by the tour’s CEO.
Guy Kinnings, the DP World Tour, has officially drawn the firmest line in the sand.
The BBC report that LIV Golf 2.0 faces its biggest turning point – even before it’s been confirmed it will go ahead.
Kinnings has told all players who play or plan to join LIV Golf that they must “make a choice”.
“We have rules and regulations which are there to protect our tour and which our members must all abide by….”
“Players who are not willing to comply with our rules and regulations should not be seeking to join our tour.”
Further, DPWT now has grounds to terminate membership of anyone who joins LIV Golf 2.0 after the deadline.
This news will affect the likes of Tyrrell Hatton, who has yet to make his intentions known.
Jon Rahm has quit LIV Golf along with Sergio Garcia which means they will be eligible for the Ryder Cup should they qualify or earn a pick from Luke Donald.
