I recently finished putting together my guide to the best women’s golf shoes of 2026 and then Sun Day Red released the new Women’s Osprey.
These deserved a mention.
There are plenty of golf shoes that perform well on the course but not many I immediately want to keep wearing after the round is over. The Women’s Osprey fits into that latter category pretty easily for me.
It’s clean, comfortable, stable and versatile in a way a lot of women’s golf shoes still struggle to be.

The best part? They don’t feel like “golf shoes”
The first thing that stood out to me was how wearable these are off the course.
The design is simple and understated without feeling overly athletic or bulky. You could wear these to the range, out to lunch, walking around town or traveling and they wouldn’t look out of place.
A lot of women’s golf shoes still lean heavily into either sporty performance styling or super-traditional country club looks. The Osprey sits somewhere in the middle and I think that’s a really smart move by Sun Day Red.

Comfort was immediate
The Women’s Osprey also passed the out-of-box comfort test with flying colors. There is no break-in period, no stiffness, no rubbing, etc.
The fit was true to size for me and the cushioning was noticeable immediately without feeling too soft or unstable. There’s enough structure in the heel and enough traction that the shoe still feels supportive during the swing.
Sun Day Red uses a drop-in EVA midsole for all-day comfort and adds extra foam around the heel and tongue which probably explains why these felt broken in almost immediately. The external heel counter also helps give the shoe a little more structure and stability than you typically get from a lifestyle-style golf shoe.
The traction pattern deserves some credit, too. It’s not overly aggressive looking but there’s still plenty of grip during the swing and while walking uneven terrain.

The entire women’s line works together
One thing Sun Day Red is quietly doing well right now is creating a women’s line that feels cohesive.
The apparel, layering pieces and shoes mesh naturally. Nothing feels overdone and nothing feels like it was added just to “have” a women’s option in the lineup.
Final thoughts
If you want an ultra-aggressive spiked golf shoe built strictly for performance, this probably isn’t the category you’re shopping in.
But if you want a golf shoe that looks clean, feels stable, works on and off the course and is comfortable enough to wear all day, the Women’s Osprey certainly deserves a look.
I’m hoping Sun Day Red continues expanding the women’s side of the brand because this is one of the better lifestyle/performance combinations I’ve tried lately.
