Johnnie-O doesn’t do sales often. In fact, the brand typically runs just two per year, which is what makes its end-of-season sale worth paying attention to. Right now, Johnnie-O is offering up to 50 percent off a wide array of polos, pullovers, shorts, pants and more. As someone who spends an unhealthy amount of time browsing Johnnie-O, I’ve dug through the sale and rounded up the best items worth your money right now.
Lyndonn Stripe Performance Jersey Polo

While I’m generally a cotton polo guy, Johnnie-O’s Performance Jersey Polo is one of my favorite things the brand makes. The fabric is exceptionally soft, the feel is premium and, perhaps most importantly for a performance polo, it does an outstanding job wicking moisture on hot days. The Lyndonn Stripe typically retails for $98, but at $68 in the end-of-season sale, it’s a tremendous value for a polo that’s equally comfortable on the course and off it.
Weston Performance 1/4 Zip Pullover

There’s a reason the Weston is a staple. It’s lightweight, comfortable, polished and, at this point, feels like a near-universal fixture in the closets of serious golfers. Johnnie-O’s quarter-zips just fit the part: they look right on the course, they look right at dinner and they’re easy to keep in the bag for those chillier mornings and evenings. At $94, down from its usual $158, the Weston is one of the strongest values in the entire sale and an easy recommendation if you’re looking for a classic golf layer that you’ll wear constantly.
Original 4-Button Polo

The Original 4-Button Polo is one of my favorite polos of all time, full stop. That said, I almost never wear it on the golf course. This is much more of a casual piece for me, and that’s part of what makes it so good. The deeper four-button placket gives it a refined, old-school look, while the cotton blend keeps it comfortable, soft and completely easygoing. It’s also cut a bit shorter than Johnnie-O’s golf polos, which only reinforces the fact that this is a polo I’d much rather wear to dinner, around town or on vacation than to the course. In short, these things are just awesome. At $68, you better believe I’m stocking up.
Bixler Performance 1/4 Zip Hoodie

Look, I am not and never will be the type to wear a hoodie on the golf course. Off the course, however, I am absolutely a sucker for a good 1/4-zip hoodie. The Bixler is one of my favorites. It’s comfortable, athletic and, if you’ve got even a remotely athletic frame, it looks fantastic. At $94, down from $158, it’s not cheap, but it’s one of those pieces that justifies itself the moment you put it on. If you like sporty athleisure done well, this is an easy recommendation.
Hatcher Cotton Blend Crewneck Sweater

I called out the Hatcher during Masters week and I’m going to do it again here because I genuinely love this sweater. The cotton, silk and cashmere blend feels indulgent without being precious, and it wears beautifully across multiple seasons. I’ve worn it in winter, spring, summer and fall and have felt comfortable every time. Look, I’m not on a 95-degree day, but absolutely on cool summer nights or crisp mornings. It looks great, feels great and, at $124, is worth every penny. One of my favorite sweaters on the market.
The Bottom Line
This is a really good sale. Johnnie-O doesn’t run them often and, beyond the items I called out here, there are also discounts on pants, shorts and plenty of other pieces worth a look. I wanted to highlight what I think are the real standouts and hopefully alleviate a little legwork on your end, but my taste isn’t your taste. It’s absolutely worth browsing the rest of Johnnie-O’s end-of-season sale for yourself because there’s a lot more there than what I singled out here.
