In our 2025 Best Golf Driver testing, we evaluated everything from distance and spin to fairways hit percentage. While our overall accuracy score factors in fairways hit, playable shot percentage and straight shot percentage, this list focuses solely on fairways hit. If you tend to miss the short grass, these drivers could help you find a few more fairways and set up better approach shots.
Tour Edge Exotics E725
The Tour Edge Exotics E725 driver had the highest fairways hit percentage, 62.6 percent. It was also the most accurate driver in the 2025 test. Thanks to its ability to keep the ball in play and mitigate big misses, the Tour Edge Exotics E725 should help erratic golfers straighten things out.
Of course, as you’ll see with some of the more accurate drivers, distance capability often decreases when accuracy increases. The E725 ranks in the bottom half of the test for distance and tends to be a higher-spinning model.
Keeps the ball in the fairway without breaking the bank
Gives up a few yards off the tee
PING G440 SFT
The PING G440 SFT is another great option with testers hitting 62 percent of fairways with this driver. With PING’s built-in Straight Flight Technology, the fact that you can be more accurate with this driver is not all that surprising.
It also earned the third-most accurate driver award of 2025. As you probably guessed, distance wasn’t the strong point here. The G440 SFT did have strong forgiveness scores, making it consistent and accurate.
Straightens out slices and keeps shots playable
Not the lowest-spin or longest option in the test
Callaway Elyte Triple Diamond
In addition to being the best driver of 2025, the Callaway Elyte Triple Diamond is also a fairway finder. The great thing about this one (if the spin profile works for your game) is that you don’t have to give up much distance to benefit from the accuracy.
The Callaway Elyte Triple Diamond performed well in almost every category. The only thing players don’t love here is the top-down look. The crown has a glossy finish that some players didn’t approve of.
Best overall driver of the year—long and accurate
Low-spin profile isn’t for everyone
Sub 70 859 Pro
The Sub 70 859 Pro also makes the list of the most accurate drivers of 2025. It’s one of the four drivers tested with a fairways hit percentage over 60 percent. The Sub 70 859 Pro is about five yards shorter on average than the Callaway Elyte Triple Diamond so it’s not the right club for pure distance seekers.
For some golfers, five yards is worth giving up to keep the ball in play. One more positive aspect of the Sub 70 859 Pro is that it costs less than $400.
Accurate and affordable with a clean look
You’ll give up a few yards compared to top-tier distance drivers
PING G430 MAX 10K
The PING G430 MAX 10K was the best overall driver of 2024. We gave it a chance to compete in 2025 against all the latest technology and it finished second. This is a great driver for golfers trying to hit more fairways consistently.
Although not quite as long as some of the real-distance machines (Titleist GT2 and GT4), the PING G430 MAX 10K is long enough to make it an overall well-balanced club. The only real downside is that it’s still the same price as last year.
Great combination of accuracy and consistency
No price drops even though it’s the 2024 model
PXG Black Ops 0311 Tour-1
The PXG Black Ops 0311 Tour-1 is a driver you may not want if your main goal is to hit fairways. This one had the lowest percentage of fairways hit during testing at just over 48 percent. The Black Ops 0311 Tour-1 tends to miss right and was one of the least accurate of the drivers we tested.
However, it is consistent. It’s the most forgiving driver of 2025, great for golfers who want reliable carry distances, ball speeds and dispersion.
Consistent ball speed and carry with strong forgiveness
Accuracy is lacking and it tends to miss right
Wilson DYNAPWR LS
Testers hit 49 percent of fairways with the Wilson DYNAPWR LS. It was just slightly more accurate than the PXG Black Ops 0311- Tour. The DYNAPWR LS struggled across all three categories but especially in accuracy and forgiveness.
Despite its overall performance, Wilson’s DYNAPWR drivers are close to breaking through. Our testing pool as a whole rated all three of the DYNAPWR drivers well for subjective feedback.
High subjective feedback scores throughout testing
Poor performance in accuracy and forgiveness
