Major Odds: Who Is Favored To Win Golf’s Biggest Events In 2026?

The 2025 major season had a little bit of everything.

Scottie Scheffler took full control of two majors, winning the PGA Championship and the Open Championship in dominating fashion. Rory McIlroy finally captured the Masters after 17 tries. J.J. Spaun authored an underdog story at the U.S. Open.

What will 2026 bring?

Below we have each major with the current odds listed. To nobody’s surprise, Scheffler leads the way in all four of these.

The Masters

It’s a little surprising to see McIlroy at +500 given how much emotion he sunk into the the 2025 Masters victory. The oddsmakers still believe in Schauffele despite an injury-riddled 2024. And DeChambeau gets a lot of respect for his strong performances at Augusta the past two years.

  • Scottie Scheffler (+300)
  • Rory McIlroy (+500)
  • Xander Schauffele (+1100)
  • Bryson DeChambeau (+1200)
  • Jon Rahm (+1400)
  • Tommy Fleetwood (+1600)
  • Ludvig Aberg (+1800)
  • Collin Morikawa (+1800)
  • Justin Thomas (+2500)
  • Jordan Spieth (+3500)

PGA Championship

I’m curious to see how Jon Rahm plays in the majors this year. He has yet to contend in a major since switching to LIV. For a player of his caliber, that is unexpected. The oddsmakers still have him being right in the mix as a top favorite at each major.

  • Scottie Scheffler (+350)
  • Rory McIlroy (+650)
  • Bryson DeChambeau (+1000)
  • Jon Rahm (+1200)
  • Xander Schauffele (+1400)
  • Ludvig Aberg (+1800)
  • Tommy Fleetwood (+2000)
  • Justin Thomas (+2000)
  • Collin Morikawa (+2200)
  • Viktor Hovland (+3000)

U.S. Open

Pretty much a copy-and-paste from the PGA. Incredibly, Scheffler is +320 for a tournament he has never won on a course where he has no experience (he wasn’t around when the 2018 U.S. Open was at Shinnecock).

  • Scottie Scheffler (+320)
  • Rory McIlroy (+650)
  • Bryson DeChambeau (+1000)
  • Jon Rahm (+1200)
  • Xander Schauffele (+1400)
  • Ludvig Aberg (+1800)
  • Tommy Fleetwood (+2000)
  • Collin Morikawa (+2200)
  • Viktor Hovland (+2500)
  • Justin Thomas (+3000)

Open Championship

The big storyline to watch is Tommy Fleetwood playing at Royal Birkdale, the course where he would sneak on as a kid growing up in nearby Southport, England. He’s currently +1400 on the odds sheet—this could be among his best opportunities to finally win a major.

  • Scottie Scheffler (+300)
  • Rory McIlroy (+650)
  • Jon Rahm (+1100)
  • Tommy Fleetwood (+1400)
  • Xander Schauffele (+1600)
  • Bryson DeChambeau (+1800)
  • Ludvig Aberg (+2500)
  • Collin Morikawa (+2800)
  • Viktor Hovland (+2800)
  • Tyrrell Hatton (+3000)
