Masters Sun Day Red: Tiger Woods’ apparel brand reveals Azalea Gold Collection

Sun Day Red is the apparel arm of the Tiger Woods business empire.

According to its blurb: “Every seam, every stitch, every fold of Sun Day Red, is sewn with the meticulousness, care, and unwavering focus that has defined Tiger Woods’ legendary career.”

It adds that Tiger Woods in red on Sundays, “is an image etched in golfing history – as iconic as his swing and as legendary as his wins.

“A strong believer in lucky colours, Tiger’s mother Kultida saw red as a symbol of strength and dominance, and once Tiger started winning in red, those beliefs solidified.

“Today, the Sunday red is more than superstition. It’s a symbol of Tiger’s relentless pursuit of excellence, and a testament to his mental fortitude under the greatest of pressures.”

Nowhere were all of Tiger’s qualities more apparent than in his performances at Augusta National.

His first major championship victory came there in 1997 – a magnificent effort that saw him win by a frankly ridiculous 12 shots.

In 2001 and 2002 he became just the third man in history to win the tournament in back-to-back years.

He won again in 2005, holing his famous chip on the 16th green in the process.

And in 2019 – after multiple injuries, loss of form and a fall in reputation following the end of his marriage – he won yet again, a triumph that will almost certainly be the last of his astonishing career.

He has teed it up since, but yet more injuries keep him off the course this week.

Nonetheless, he will still have an impact in the form of his apparel band which has launched its limited-edition Azalea Gold Collection, a Masters-themed line inspired by Augusta National’s signature spring blooms and those five career victories there.

Sun Day Red says: “With April comes the year’s first major championship, staged on a sacred track sculpted from a forest of majestic pines and dotted with infinite azalea blossoms of white, pink and purple.”

The collection includes performance polos, lightweight hoodies, quarter-zips designed for the changeable April conditions in Georgia, and exclusive headwear and ball markers.

Each piece features subtle golden azalea motifs and design elements referencing Woods’ triumphs at Augusta in 1997, 2001, 2002, 2005, and 2019.

With premium fabrics and thoughtful detailing, the Azalea line pays homage to the natural beauty of Augusta National and the legacy of one of its greatest champions.
