The Asian Tour has dropped LIV Golf to partner with the PGA TOUR and Rory McIlroy quickly gave the move two thumbs up.
“Positive news, and great to see the respective tours working together for the good of international golf,” the Northern Irishman wrote on X.
McIlroy has advocated for the best interests of the DP World Tour and PGA Tour ever since LIV Golf appeared to disrupt golf’s world order.
Earlier this season, he spoke highly of the pathway between the two tours after Kristoffer Reitan’s debut win stateside.
“It speaks to the incredible pathway the DP World Tour players have to get their cards,” he said ahead of the PGA Championship.
“You get your PGA Tour card out of that, play your way into the Signature Events, and then it’s the system working.
