McKibbin (22) will fellow LIV player David Puig and DP World Tour member Elvis Smylie in Charlotte bidding to improve on his tie for 46th in the US Open and joint 66th place finish in The Open last season.

He reached a career high of 97th in the after last season’s runner up finish in the Italian Open but while he ranked 115th this week, the PGA of America has added him to the PGA Championship field alongside world No 202 Smylie and 107th ranked Puig.
