Mega payday for Burmy, Grace at LIV Golf South Africa

The lucrative earnings available from the LIV Golf league were on full display as the Southern Guards stars cashed in at Steyn City.

The Southern Guards captured the imaginations of the sold-out crowds all week as they pushed for a victory on debut. And for a large portion on Sunday, it looked like they would win the team event before a late rally by the Crushers GC.

Grace ultimately parred the last hole for a share of third place on the individual leaderboard and earnings of just less than R19 000 000 which was significantly the highest South African payday for the week.

Talisman and chief crowf pleaser Dean Burmester earned a little over R11 000 000 for his efforts while Southern Guards captain Louis Oosthuizen earned R4.275m.

Battling injury all week, it was still a good payday for Charl Schwartzel who banked R3.2m for his four days’ play.
