Trendsetter Travel Golf Tours has announced its inaugural Mekong River Golf Cruise commencing in Saigon, concluding in Siem Reap and scheduled to set sail on March 4, 2027.
With an immersive seven-night cruise onboard AmaWaterways Amadara, the tour is structured to show guests the history of Saigon and Cambodia and at the same time offer the opportunity to enjoy golf at a selection of the best golf courses in Saigon, Phnom Penh and Siem Reap.
Golf played over 6 games includes two outstanding Nick Faldo designed courses. All games will be played with female caddies, and a mandatory golf cart. The caddies will always be there with a selection of golf clubs, adding a special element to playing golf in Cambodia and Vietnam.
While this is a golf tour, there will be plentiful opportunities to soak up the sites and culture of Vietnam and Cambodia. There will be day tours of both Saigon and Siem Reap, including Angkor Wat, and guests will be free to participate in the included Amawaterways tours on all but two days of the cruise. However, guests can opt out of one of the two rounds of golf in Phnom Penh with an equitable price adjustment.
Amadara is a beautifully presented ship and features French Colonial décor. Throughout the cruise, guests will be treated to unlimited complimentary wine with lunch and dinner, as well as house brand spirits, local beer and soft drinks at all times on cruise.
The tour hotels in both Saigon and Siem Reap are rated 5-star, while on Amadara, Trendsetter has secured a group allotment mainly comprising the best and preferred top deck rooms.
The tour is scheduled to sail in March, still the dry season and with reasonable temperatures for both touring and for golf.
