ABC News recently featured interviews with Australian golf sensations Minjee and Min Woo Lee ahead of the 2024 Paris Olympics.
The siblings are preparing to make history as the first brother and sister to represent Australia in Olympic golf. Despite participating in separate men’s and women’s events, the Lees are enthusiastic about their roles and the unique opportunity to compete at such a prestigious level.
The pair are impressive people as well as golfers. The interviews highlight the siblings’ close relationship and mutual support, and their excitement ahead of the upcoming Paris 2024 Olympics in July.
The event marks the sport’s fourth appearance in the modern Olympic Games since its reintroduction at the 2016 Rio Olympics. Golfers will compete at the renowned Le Golf National course, renowned for hosting the 2018 Ryder Cup and numerous European Tour events.
Minjee Lee will be joined by Hannah Green as the two Australian representatives in the Women’s Olympic Golf event. Min Woo Lee will be joined in the men’s event field by 2015 US PGA Champion, Jason Day.
