When Mizuno’s PGA Tour team received its first Mizuno Pro iron samples, the first players they met up with were Keith Mitchell and Greyson Sigg. We asked Mizuno adviser and McKenzie Tour player Fredrik Lindblom to join up with Keith and Greyson at Sea Island, Georgia and record their first reactions.
Mitchell has played his previous MP-20 irons for six months and was immediately impressed by the change in feel and flight
They feel a lot more ‘thumpy’. I love the head-shape. It’s more symmetrical and a little bit smaller. The flights down a little too – nice. These come out flatter, especially with the lower irons. I’m looking to control through the wind. I can hit higher if I want to – these are perfect. Way better with such a little change.
Every year i put the new Mizuno irons in and they’ve all been a little better for a reason. We want to keep everything consistent and then add a little technology. It gets a little bit better every year, so its easy for us to switch into.
Videos with Greyson Sigg to follow.
The Mizuno Pro irons will be available for fittings to the public in Europe, US and Australia from February 2022.
