Mizuno’s new ST-230 series drivers have gained attention through their performance and elevated tour usage. With the news that both the ST-Z and ST-X will now be available for a full 2 year life cycle, Matt and Ian at TXG revisited both models.
We were debating which was one was the player’s driver and which was was not the players driver. You could probably argue both ways. There’s a tiny dispersion with ST-X. A little bit more dispersion, but possibly more out potential with ST-Z. Two quite different drivers. Mizuno have come so far in their driver designs, that they’re no longer in an annual cycle. Because 12 months isn’t long enough for them to take these drivers forward now.
If a lighter hearted look is more your taste – Alex Etches has his own thoughts.
This is as good as anything. I haven’t hit a driver that consistently all year.
