If you are a MyGolfSpy reader and haven’t checked out the Forum, now is the time to do so! You’re missing lively debates, equipment discussion, member testing and a whole lot more! In March, as usual, the Forum was buzzing with activity and we were able to share some special highlights with our members along the way.
MyGolfSpy Best Driver of 2024
The reveal of our best driver of the year is arguably the biggest day of the year, every year. And, for the second year in a row, we enhanced the announcement by having Phillip Bishop from MyGolfSpy HQ available for a Live Q&A to share his thoughts on how the testing went.
If you want to take part in these weekly calls, they are open to all and happen every Thursday at 4 p.m. EST.
These Community Calls are a great way to get to see and meet some of the faces behind MyGolfSpy and chat with members from all over the world!
Community Calls Continued
Our other special guest was Jacob Clarke of PING. He was the lead designer for the PING s159 wedges and spent a full hour talking about his experience with the wedges, what the new grinds are about, the PING WebFit App and a whole lot more. Jacob has a wealth of experience and knowledge where our members were able to ask questions and get valuable feedback for their wedge games and more.
If you are interested in checking out these calls or others we have hosted, we have them all recorded and posted here for your viewing. Check them out and we hope to see you on the next one!
MyGolfSpy Virtual Tour
Season 2 wrapped up in March with our final year-long winners being crowned, along with the season-ending team match play event taking place with the top 32 participants from the season getting paired and then competing in a three-week event.
This was a special season as we saw significant growth in member participation and posting scores, as well as seeing our Virtual Tour golfers play competitive rounds even when simply out for their weekly match.
In Season 3, we are planning significant changes to bring more fun and competition for all skill levels. More details will be released soon but, as part of testing of the Season 3 changes, we introduced The Trophy Room.
Now those badges earned for not just the Virtual Tour but other contests throughout their tenure on the MyGolfSpy Forum will live on your profile. No more weekly on and off—now bragging rights for life!
Forum Member Testing
A few final reviews have started to wrap up in March: the Argolf Golf Clubs member test of three different putters and a set of wedges, the Arias Golf Chipper, the Maxfli Align golf ball and FlightScope Mevo Progression Series.
While new testing opportunities come out each week, there are many ongoing that are worth highlighting. Some of these include the TaylorMade Qi10 drivers, TPT 3 shafts 1 feel and the Edel Array putters.

Popular Forum Threads in March
While the discussion around the Best Drivers of 2024 was a key thread, several others caught the attention of the Forum membership.
The Good Morning Thread is the perfect way to start your day. It is also a great introduction thread for those looking to make their first post!
Newton driver shafts and GHOST Golf bags have created a lot of buzz with some intriguing results.
Of course, with the Masters coming up this weekend, members are getting excited about the year’s first major and offering their predictions.
