South African duo Michael Hollick and Hennie du Plessis were the big winners in the latest update of the Official World Golf Rankings.
The pair finished first and second at the BMW International Open and are reaping the rewards.
Hollick is now the 10th best South African after rising 200 places in the latest update. He sits in 148th place as he enjoys his rookie season on the DP World Tour. He is now five places behind JC Ritchie.
Du Plessis moved from 190 to 121 to sit in the ninth. He will have another opportunity to improve at this week’s Scottish Open and of course, at Royal Birkdale next week.
Richard Sterne is 120th and Garrick Higgo is 107 in this week’s rankings.
The top five are unchanged with Aldrich Potgieter (down 3 to 77), Jayden Schaper (unchanged at 79), Casey Jarvis (down two to 85), Shaun Norris (down 2 to 92) and Christiaan Bezuidenhout inside the top 100.
Bezuidenhout rose six places to six in 94th place after a T12 at the John Deere Classic.
