The PGA Tour is undergoing a restructure with 56 staff members losing their jobs, according to latest reports.
Golf’s global shakeup continues with the news that many staff members were informed this week of the job cuts.
As eported by Sports Business Journal, affected employees were told of the decision this week where CEO Brian Rolapp explained the decision to staff in an internal memo.
Around 4% of the organisation’s 1,300 roles have been axed as it undergoes a ‘right-sizing’ operation in its transition to a for-profit model.
Also reported, the PGA Tour will no longer fill 73 job vacancies which had previously been advertised.
