Jon Rahm coming back to the PGA TOUR is far from a done deal with new reports suggesting the news was “smoke” from his camp.
Another day, another twist in the life of Rahm, LIV Golf and the PGA TOUR.
Instead of an imminent deal to bring Rahm back, the exact opposite appears to be true.
“All Rahm smoke is coming from his camp” writes journalist Joel Beall.
“Tour already offered a reprieve and he (and DeChambeau and Smith) declined. Besides, Koepka wanted to return; Rahm + others asking only because LIV’s in trouble. Rolapp will not waste political capital re-extending immunity.”
Earlier, it was reported that Rahm was willing to return.
The details of his terms were outlined but now this latest update has cast major doubt over whether Rahm will play on the PGA TOUR next season.
