As the Open returns to Royal Birkdale, we remember the day South Africa’s Branden Grace wrote his name in the history books.
The 146th Open Championship in 2017 was the scene for the historic round as Grace rewrote the record books when he shot 62 in his third round.
The South African set a new record for the lowest round ever scored at a Major championship, as he dominated the course at Royal Birkdale.
The spectacular round included top-notch tee shots, sharp iron play and some unbelievable putting. The record-breaking round helped Grace secure a 6th place finish for the Championship.
