MEDINAH, IL. – The 2026 Presidents Cup will take place September 24–27 at Medinah Country Club in Illinois, bringing together 12 of the best American golfers and 12 top international players. Team USA will attempt to continue its dominance in the event and earn its 11th consecutive victory.
Georgia golf fans have a special reason to cheer for Russell Henley, the only player in the competition with a direct Georgia affiliation. Henley was born in Macon, raised in Columbus and played collegiate golf at the University of Georgia. During his time at UGA, he became one of the program’s most accomplished golfers and won the 2010 Haskins Award as the nation’s top collegiate player.
Henley earned an automatic spot on the U.S. Team after another impressive PGA TOUR season. As he competes on one of golf’s biggest international stages, he will proudly represent Team USA while giving Bulldog and Georgia golf fans one of their own to support.
