Nine of the 13 South Africans in the Scottish Open field will be heading home after missing the cut on Friday.
The good news is that four remain in the field – Hennie du Plessis and Casey Jarvis are best placed at -4 just five back. Jacques Kruyswijk and Shaun Norris survived the cut making it on the number at -2.
Dylan Frittelli and Jayden Schaper fell one shot shy … Fritelli shot 69 while Schaper fired a second round 71 to just miss out on weekend golf.
Two rounds of level par 70s saw Aldrich Potgieter miss out alongside Erik van Rooyen. Ockie Strydom, Thriston Lawrence, Dylan Naidoo, Yurav Premlall and Richard Sterne all finished over par.
Of the players heading home, only Jayden Schaper is in next week’s field for The Open.
