Cameron Smith is battling to stay in contention and under par on a windy, tough second round at the Masters.
Smith topped the six-strong Australian contingent late in the second round and was one-under-par through 17 holes on Friday.
Smith’s countryman Adam Scott, the 2013 Masters winner, had picked up a shot through 14 holes to sit at one over for the tournament. Five-time Masters winner Tiger Woods was also at one-over, hoping to stay inside the cutline which was projected at four over.
Of the other Australians, Cam Davis (73), Min Woo Lee (75) and Marc Leishman (75) were four over, while Lucas Herbert shot 76 to fall to six over and he was staring down a missed cut.
