Brandon Stone remains in the picture at the Danish Golf Championship after a 69 on Friday left him two back.
Stone is the best placed South African after two days at Great Northern where four countrymen missed the cut.
Dylan Frittelli, MJ Daffue, Daniel van Tonder and Dylan Naidoo all failed to progress
Cameron Adam and Antoine Rozner both fired course records to lead the field where Stone is two back in a strong field where Bubba Watson is at -8 and three back heading into the weekend.
Stone’s 69 included a purple patch wheere he rattled off four birdies between the fourth and 11th holes. A bogey at the 14th – the second day in a row – was offset by his final birdie of the day at the par 5 17th.
Zander Lombard matched Stone’s effort and is now -5 through 36 holes with Robin Williams on -3 and Richard Sterne, a winner already on the DP World Tour this season on -2 alongside Yurav Premlall, like Sterne a recent winner on the tour.
On the Hotel Planner Tour, Louis Albertse leads the Irish Challenge at -12 with Bryce Easton in second two back.
Justin Harding is in the group sharing third place on -9.
